2009 SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE BEST PROGRAM FOR
YOUTH PA STATE BROADCASTERS

Choice Radio has won 59 state and national awards for programming excellence since 1986…prompting New York State Broadcasters Association President Joe Reilly to call us "the little station that wins all the awards."

But, equally impressive is the diversity of excellence shown by our staff. We've won first place honors for news, sports, public affairs, editorials, public service campaigns, and community events. News director Chuck Carver is a 7 time winner of the state's "Best Local Newscast" award…and 4 times he's been recognized with the trophy for "Best Local Sportscast."

The station's signature community service broadcast, the highly acclaimed "Scholarship Challenge" high school quiz, has won 2 dozen state and national honors for excellence.
